Holy Baptism is one of two sacraments in the Lutheran Church, and is the foundation of our lives as Christians. Baptism is an event through which God’s promises of love and life everlasting are announced and enacted, and in which the person being baptized (or their parents, in the case of an infant baptism) makes vows to lead a Christian life. 

After a baby has been baptized - each year on Rally Sunday (typically the Sunday after Labor Day weekend) we celebrate with families in once again introducing newly baptized babies to the congregation. We all know that it truly takes a village to rise up a child. We as GPR Parish members want to help you on your family's faith journey within our congregation.
