Pastor Jim Greene

Hi, I'm Jim Greene, an I've been honored to be the Pastor of the Gran, Park, Rollag Parish.

I was born in Fort Wayne, IN - the middle child of five kids. I graduated from Wartburg College and then Wartburg Seminary and was "drafted" to the Northern Minnesota District in 1985.

I previously served parishes in Gary & Hawley Minnesota before doing Chaplaincy work in the Fargo/Moorhead area. I've also served in the regular hospital and in the Drug & Alcohol + Psych units in St. Johns & St. Ansgars before my return to a parish in Fargo, N.D. Lastly, I was Chaplain at another Drug & Alcohol treatment center before I took the call to the Rollag Parish in August of 2001.

I'm married to Sue and we have three grown children and four grandchildren and we currenly live in Moorhead, MN.

Intern Chris Friese

Greetings! My name is Chris Friese. Born and raised in Moorhead, MN. I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 2020 and answered God’s call to seminary in the fall of 2020. I currently attend Wartburg Theological Seminary, located in Dubuque, Iowa. I have served as Intern at Gran-Park-Rollag since February 2023. I will be with Gran-Park-Rollag until spring of 2025 when I graduate from Wartburg with my M.Div. with hopes of staying in the Fargo-Moorhead/Rollag-Barnesville area. Alongside my internship, I currently serve as a Chaplain for Sanford Health in Fargo. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Alex, our three sons (Gabe, Carlisle, and Jasper). My favorite hobby in the summer time is being outside (hiking, fishing, cleaning my garage) in the winter months, I enjoy movies, reading and board games. In all seasons, I am a lover of wonderful food. With my favorite winter meal being lasagna and anything grilled in the summer time. God’s peace to you as we journey this faith together!
